Hot dog – Toad in the hole

This is a quite delightful take on the traditional English meal Toad in the hole, using Hot dogs, I opted for the Wikinger hot dog as it’s mammoth dimensions seemed more appropriate than some of its slighter competitors. For the ingredients please see below;

Ingredients

  • 225g of Plain Flour
  • 4 Eggs
  • 250ml of Milk
  • Sage
  • Cinnamon

Technique

  • Set the oven to a high temperature aproximately 225°c
  • pour the milk into a large bowl add the flour season with Cinnamon and Sage then add all other ingredients and wisk vigorously for two minutes after this leave the mixture to stand for a further 2 minutes in the fridge
  • Place the Hot dogs in an oven proof dish add a tablespoon of oil and place in the oven for 2-3 Minutes
  • Remove dish from oven and add mixture from fridge
  • return to the oven for 8-9 Mins
  • Toad in the hole!
